Villainous conspirator Nikki Mayhew

Nikki Mayhew (Cynthia Preston) was a minor villainess from the 2001 made-for-TV film Facing The Enemy. She was the wife of Harlan Moss, a conman who manipulated her into helping him extort money from wealthy men. Nikki's role in the scheme was to seduce the men into wanting to have their wives killed so they could be with her, and Harlan would kill the wives before offing the husbands as well, making off with the money Harlan was paid by the men. Nikki also had a deeply religious mother who cut ties with her after she married Harlan.

After another plot is finished, Nikki got upset when Harlan plans on pulling another heist despite his promise that they were finished. Harlan verbally manipulated Nikki into going through with the plan, which she did, but became upset again when she witnessed the murders firsthand. Afterwards, Harlan left town for a few days, leaving Nikki to herself. During this time, she had a passionate fling with Griff McCleary, who saved her from being accosted outside a nightclub. But unbeknownst to Nikki, Griff was a detective investigating the murders she and Harlan had committed. Nikki uncovered Griff's identity when she found a file with photos of her inside it. Griff confronted her, knowing that she wasn't the murderer and that she was protecting someone. Nikki refused to give Harlan up and started breaking down. When Griff went to get her a glass of water, the emotionally volatile Nikki took Griff's gun and shot herself in the stomach, killing herself.
