The evil Melinda Murray

Melinda Murray (Ellen Hollman) is the villainess of "Beck's Big Break", episode 1.10 of Victorious (airdate September 25, 2010). She was a famous actress and was set to be the lead star of the action movie Miss Fire. Hollywood Arts student Beck Oliver played the role of a waiter, interacting with Melinda and her leading man in one scene. During a rehearsal, however, Melinda furiously stops the scene when she thinks Beck said a line wrong. When his friend Tori Vega (who was hired as an extra along with Beck's other friends) corrected her after checking the script, Melinda demanded Beck be fired out of spite. The director tried to object, but was forced to follow Melinda's order when she threatened to quit the movie. She then fired Tori when she tried to stand up for Beck.

On another day, while shooting, Tori returned to the set and tried to convince Melinda to give Beck his role back, but the evil Melinda refused and shouted for Tori to get out. Thinking she was reciting a cue that called for a crossbow to be fired, a stagehand fired said crossbow, causing the arrow to pierce through Melinda's hand. Melinda cried out in agony before an ambulance comes. Tori attempted to apologize, but Melinda simply snarled at her that what happened was her fault before the paramedics cart her into the ambulance. Due to her injury, Melinda had to be replaced in the movie, much to the entire crew's relief as she was a nightmare. Beck Even got his part back.
