The villainous Clarissa Harrison

Clarissa Harrison (Sprague Grayden) is the hidden (remorseful) villainess of "Intruded", episode 4.03 of Crossing Jordan (airdate October 10, 2004). She was the daughter of Julie and Daniel Harrison and, when she was 16, she caught her mother in the middle of an illicit tryst with Clifford Monroe. Angered by her mother's adulterous actions, Clarissa killed Julie, and Daniel later disposed of his wife's body in a storage unit to protect Clarissa. Daniel also took the fall for his daughter when evidence pointed to his guilt, leading him to be imprisoned. In the years following, Clarissa entered law school and began working to help her father get out of prison, doing so in hopes of appeasing her guilt.

When an accidental fire broke out in the storage building and Julie's body was found, Clarissa approached Garret Macy (who was heavily involved in her father's case) and asked him to help prove her father's innocence. Ultimately, the investigation took the team to Clifford Monroe, whose confession to Clarissa walking in on him and Julie together revealed Clarissa as her mother's true killer.

Garret and detective Woody Hoyt went to confront Clarissa together, who was preparing to leave with her father. The two revealed that they knew the truth behind Julie's death, along with the fact that Clarissa had been intentionally leading the investigation to reveal her guilt and exonerate her father. Clarissa confessed to her crime, and additionally stated that her years of pursuing law and working to prove Daniel's innocence had done nothing to assuage her guilt. Clarissa broke down in tears in her father's arms, and was subsequently arrested (offscreen).
