Myra Teal (Jessica Steen) is a hidden villainess from "Mr. Monk and the Billionaire Mugger," episode 1.07 of Monk (airdate August 16, 2002). She is the wife of billionaire Sidney Teal, as well as the evil mistress of Sidney's old college friend, former cop Archie Modine.
Myra first met Archie at a college fundraiser orchestrated by Sidney, and it was following this that their illicit affair began. After a year together, the villainous couple decided that their lives would be better without Sidney around, and with that in mind, the evil Myra colluded with Archie to kill her husband.
The plan involved a prank of sorts that Archie and Sidney pulled off 20 years ago, where Archie posed as a mugger who was going after Sidney and his date, Angie DeLuca, with Sidney saving Angie to impress her. Archie called Sidney looking to return the favor, and Sidney was happy to oblige, only this time, Archie shot and killed Sidney. Sidney had no idea about Myra's affair with Archie, which was part of the plan: they would confess to the affair and make it appear that Sidney had known about it and went after Archie, only for Archie to kill him in self-defense.
During Monk and Sharona's summation, the former pointed out that Sidney went the extra mile and hired Joseph Moratta, an actor, to pose as a cop who would commend Archie for his bravery, but after hearing the gunshots, the actor ran off, earning him the nickname, "Fraidy Cop." After everything was revealed, Myra denied everything and claimed that it was all Archie's idea, which prompted an angry Archie to point a gun at the scheming villainess. Archie was handcuffed and arrested (on-screen), and Myra was arrested (off-screen) for her role.
