Meg Berrigan (Stephanie Dunnam) is the main villainess from "Evidence of Malice," episode 12.19 of Murder, She Wrote (airdate March 28, 1996). She was the wife of Fred Berrigan, a manufacturer at NORCOM, but she was secretly planning an evil scheme that originally included embezzlement. Meg's plan involved stealing millions of NORCOM's funds and placing the money in a Caribbean account. Once her boss, Leverett Boggs discovered something amiss, Meg strangled him to death to avoid suspicion. She also planted the embezzlement evidence in Fred's computer, planning to frame him for the theft.

Unfortunately for Meg, deputy Andy Broom found the evidence, and her husband found out about NORCOM from Wendy Arnold, who learned about it herself from Craig Haber. This prompted the villainess to lure Fred into meeting her at the factory, and it was there that Meg killed him with a single blow to the head with a wrench. After the murder, the evil Meg planted the weapon in the trunk of Broom's car, planning to frame him due to the fact that he had a possible motive.

Meg was revealed when Wendy went on Fred's computer and figured out how the embezzlement was made. She was confronted by Wendy regarding her actions, and once she was informed that a button belonging to her was found at the scene of Fred's murder, Meg pointed a gun at Wendy, only to be stopped by Sheriff Metzger. Regarding Meg's motive, she grew tired of her husband's cavorting with other women, and had planned to use her ill-gotten funds to start a new life without him. Meg was arrested for her various crimes.
