Maggie (Maree Cheatham) is the hidden villainess from "Red Eyed Creature," the second segment from the penultimate episode of Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction's second season (airdate July 17, 1998).

Maggie is the live-in nanny of the Sterling family, who moved in to their new home. However, while in the kitchen, young Billy Sterling was shocked and terrified by the sight of a monster with glowing red eyes, and later on, his mother, Sally, encountered the ominous creature. This prompted Dan Sterling to phone a realtor about the house, and he would learn that the previous owner committed suicide.
Maggie was shown with the couple informing them that there had to be a logical explanation regarding what Sally and Billy had seen, and regarding Sally's inquiry about the creature, Maggie stated that they should all calm down. After seeing a pair of red lights on a wall, the couple concluded that it was the lights that they saw, and the faulty electricity was why the lights went out during the encounter.

Maggie's reveal as a villainess
In the final scenes of the segment, Maggie was shown comforting Billy, as he was still terrified over seeing the red eyed monster. She stated that it was all in Billy's imagination and that there was nothing to fear, after which she kissed Billy goodnight. Maggie turned heel shortly afterwards, when she suddenly flashed red eyes and revealed herself as the monster. Jonathan Frakes' closing narration suggested that Maggie had a hand in the terrible events regarding the previous owner, and her attempts to appease the Sterlings after scaring them were to hide her villainous persona. During her reveal, the evil Maggie also flashed a sinister smile, giving the indication that she had diabolical plans for her new tenants.
