Leanne Wilson (Leann Hunley) is the main villainess from "The Talk Show," episode 4.16 of Matlock (airdate January 16, 1990). She is a wedding planner who was a former co-host of Dan Galloway.
Leanne was let go from her co-host position five years prior due to Galloway making claims that she was temperamental, and she ended up having to take a job as a wedding planner. In the episode's events, Leanne was an invited guest on Galloway's talk show, along with Katherine Randolph and famed judge Maria Cordante, where their past was brought up. It was revealed that Galloway offered her an important position on his show, but when she learned that the job was already set to go to Katherine, it was the last straw for Leanne. After the taping ended, Leanne took possession of an axe that Galloway gave to Lisa Bateman (his callous way of firing Lisa), and killed Galloway while he was in the control room.
During the murder, the evil Leanne lost a button from her expensive blazer; a button she claimed to have lost months ago. The button was shown as evidence during Matlock's examination, which revealed that she didn't replace the button until after she committed the murder. Leanne stated that she felt that Galloway was setting her up again, and after being outed as the killer, she responded to Matlock's inquiry about hiring a lawyer with a simple "yes." Leanne was arrested (off-screen) for Galloway's murder.
